It seems like people struggle to communicate and enjoy the world outside of their phones. To demonstrate this I kept the scene grayscale and lacking much detail and only when elements are illuminated by the phone's screen is the detail and color restored. The person's face is also void of features besides a text message saying Hi! to drive home the idea we mostly communicate via text which often lacks the complimentary facial expressions/tones.

LOL is based off the acronym, laugh out loud. I switched it to be, lots of love as a sarcastic meaning for what the subject of the image is. Within the image theres a trashcan that contains likes. This symbolizes both that people just give away likes and they have no meaning, almost like candy is to a body as likes are to the mind, junk. Above I have commentary on the idea that even if someone was presented with this concept they would still continue to like.

Inspired by the documentary, "The Social Dilemma" this post represents how the algorithm or corporates can pick and chose which profiles to promote or hinder from growing. To them there is not individuality to the profiles as exemplified by the abstract empty text boxes and image slots.

Crafted with Adobe Illustrator, Stranded is a isometric scene of a person stranded in the vast ocean with nothing but their phone. Social media can create an environment where individuals can feel isolated from the physical world.
